Dummybox

This innovative ‘multi-tool’ should be found in every guitar player’s toolbox. The Dummybox provides a solution for virtually every live and/or recording situation.

With the Dummybox Studio/PA you can capture the sound coming from your guitar amp's speaker output and feed it into a recording system or PA, even when playing at low volume or without a speaker connected!

The Dummybox is placed between your favorite amp and speaker and therefore captures every coloration your amp is set to create, even from the power amp section. If you connect your speaker to the monitor output you can play your amp at full power and set the volume of your speaker at a much lower level. The three position switch selects that only 5% (H), 3% (M) or 1% (L) of that output power is sent to your speaker.

Dummybox is available in 2 editions:

Dummybox Home

The Dummybox Home can eat up 60 watts of amp power continously while peaks up to 100 watts will not cause any problems. Recording your favorite guitar sound can be done with or without a speaker connected. The Dummybox Home has three different recording outputs, 1/4” jack, RCA and mini jack.

Dummybox Studio/PA

The Dummybox Studio/PA can eat up 60 watts of amp power continously while peaks up to 100 watts will not cause any problems. Recording your favorite guitar sound can be done with or without a speaker connected. The Dummybox Studio/PA has a fully balanced XLR DI output .
In both editions (Home or Studio/PA) you can choose to send a filtered or an unfiltered signal to the mixing console or PA. When the filtered signal is chosen voicing switches provide you with a choice of microphone placement and type of speaker cabinet emulation.

Koch fully understands that authentic tone and reliability are the most important things for guitar players. Therefore the Dummybox was designed using the highest quality components and is protected with a heavy duty steel housing.
Whether recording, performing or rehearsing, let your amp run at its fattest juiciest and loudest level….and use the Dummybox Studio/PA to tame the output volume.
