Harry Haussel is a german mechanic who has been repairing and rewinding pickups since 1985. During the last years he provides top manufacturers like Nik Huber, Claudio Pagelli, Teuffel, Ruokangas with premium pickups he makes.

He can manufacture everything, from a '59 PAF clone to a 10core single coil, even a J / P / MM / Bartolini format.

He can also alter your old pickup, winding above or below it's coil or even rewind your old '69 strat pickup.

This is the reason he offers his clients the possibility of returning the pickup, if they are not totally satisfied with the result.

hs5hs2"I am working on a pickup collection since 1995, which contains nearly all standard models keeping priorities on producing unique and special-type pickups. Various guitarbuilders equipe their instruments with my selfmade pickups nowadays. I also manufacture "OEM" pickups, which are distributed under other labels. Offering good pickups to an unbeatable price, remain one of my goals for the future. Consequent, extensive tests during the period of development make this vision achievable. A persistent search for inproved and more suitable kinds of metals for magnets, coils and tacks stay top priority. Inbetween time, I have the option to choose over at least ten different types of magnets and wire-intensitys, which of them also have insulation-layers of variable thicknesses. Combined with polescrew materials made of four different kinds of steel, I am able to create an almost never ending sound-variety. Due to a close cooperation with other manufacturers and musicians, every instrument can recieve its individual, ideal pickup."

Harry Barden pickups

"A word of notice about the "harrybarden" pickups:

over the course of the last months and especially since I've launched this site and commented on various US and EU forums, I've received many e-mails asking for more details, production datelines, etc. I've also received mails that hint to the fact that some people think that Harry's blade pickup will be some kind of replica / clone / copy of Joe's original design.
This will NOT be the case. Joe's work - while not exactly groundbreaking - is unique in many respects, and Harry and I both respect this fact. The "harrybarden" will be tonally "as close" as one can get to a true Joe Barden Deluxe but in many small visible details will indeed differ from a Barden - we are NOT trying to build a "fake" Barden pickup.
Having said this, where are we today? Harry is currently circulating 2 test sets, the blades of which have not been nickel plated, while he is waiting for the delivery of a built-to-spec galvanic plating machine (the blades would inevitably rust if they were not treated).
You all will be personally informed once the pickups are finally available for delivery, in the menatime please accept my thanks for your queries and your support to this interesting (and hopefully successful) quest.
